Dr Malvina Cunningham, Dermatologist
Dr Malvina is a fully trained and GMC registered specialist consultant dermatologist. She graduated with honours from University College London (UCL) and was awarded a PhD as part of UCL’s prestigious MBPhD programme. Dr Malvina has subsequently trained in Dermatology at the leading London teaching hospitals Bart’s Health and the Royal Free Hospital.
Dr Malvina also works as a consultant in the NHS and consults on all aspects of Dermatology with a special interest in complex medical Dermatology including severe inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema as well as connective tissue diseases. She also has an interest in Paediatric Dermatology and sees children of all ages.
Dr Malvina has been awarded 11 national and international prizes for academic and clinical work including the young investigator award and prizes from the Royal Society of Medicine, the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) and the British Skin Foundation. She has also carried out significant research on the mechanism of collagen formation and scarring which has resulted in numerous publications including the high impact Journal of Clinical Investigations (JCI).
Dr Malvina is a member of the following professional bodies: British Association of Dermatologists (BAD), Royal Society of Medicine (RSM), the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV),General Medical Council (GMC), and Medical Defense Union (MDU).
She lives in London with her husband and daughter.
Having grown up in Germany, Dr Malvina is fluent in German as well as Polish.
