Why a Dermatology Grade Facial?

In short: Skin quality drifts when no one’s actively looking after it. A Dermatology Grade Facial is the regular, clinical-grade work that keeps it heading the other way — designed by a Dermatologist, safe for skin conditions that other facials would aggravate, and a category we invented in 2006.

The problems no skincare routine can solve on its own

After your mid-30s, skin doesn’t simply age. It accumulates. Without active, clinical-grade intervention between bigger treatments, here’s what’s actually happening to your skin, month after month:

Collagen production slows. From your mid-30s, your skin makes less of the protein that keeps it firm. By perimenopause this drops sharply — within five years of menopause itself, around 30% of your skin’s collagen is gone. Most of the visible change you see in the mirror is this.
Pores clog with what you can’t reach.Sebum, dead cell debris and pollutant residues build up beyond what any home cleanser can lift. Over time, this becomes the dull, congested texture you’d rather not see.
Your skin barrier weakens. It leaks moisture out and lets irritation in. Skin gets drier, more reactive, more prone to flushing and breakouts.
Inflammation lingers.Stress, pollution, glycation from diet, hormonal shifts: they all keep skin in a quiet inflammatory state that accelerates everything else.
Lymphatic flow stalls.Puffiness, dullness and that “tired-looking” face that no amount of sleep can fix.

And for anyone with adult acne, rosacea, eczema or pigmentation issues, conventional spa facials don’t just fail to help — they aggravate. Steaming, vigorous massage, generic acids and fragranced products are common contraindications.

A good skincare routine slows some of this. None of it gets reversed without regular, clinical-grade work, done by people who actually understand the skin in front of them.

That’s the work a Dermatology Grade Facial does.

We’re a dermatology clinic. Why are we doing facials at all?

The model isn’t originally ours. Dr Stefanie trained as a Dermatologist in Germany, where facials are a normal, expected part of skin care. The model there is simple and old: Dermatologists handle the medical problems, and Medical Aestheticians, trained alongside them in the same clinic, keep the skin in optimum condition between appointments. The two work together. Neither one is a luxury.

When Stefanie moved to the UK, she was astonished to find that Dermatology clinics here didn’t offer facials at all. The work that Medical Aestheticians did in Germany had been ceded entirely to high-street spas and beauty rooms, often staffed by therapists with only a few weeks of training. Active acne being treated with steaming. Sensitised skin being scrubbed. Patients she was treating in clinic for one thing being undone, between appointments, by another.

So she pioneered her own. A category that didn’t yet exist in the UK. She called them Dermatology Grade Facials. That was twenty years ago.

The protocols have been continually refined since, as new clinical technologies and ingredients have come on stream: HydraFacial, cryostimulation, plasma peels, deep oscillation lymphatic drainage, more recently mesotherapy and microneedling, and now compounded-on-the-day mask formulations. Every year, the DGF gets a little sharper. The Next Generation launch is arguably the biggest single improvement we’ve made in two decades.

What a Dermatology Grade Facial does that a spa facial cannot

Safe for adult acne, rosacea and eczema.A conventional spa facial would aggravate all three. Ours are designed to treat them.
Triggers cellular regeneration. Each session supports collagen biosynthesis, lymphatic drainage and tissue repair. The point is what your skin looks like in three months, not just tomorrow morning.
Layers properly with your other medical aesthetic work.If you already have injectables, lasers, peels or other clinical work, your DGF protocol is built to reinforce it, not fight it.
Adapts to your skin on the day.Skin behaves differently from week to week. The protocol that’s right in July isn’t right in November. A DGF therapist builds the session around what your skin actually is, not what it usually is.
Designed by a Dermatologist, delivered by Dermatologist-trained Medical Aestheticians.Continuous training alongside our Dermatologists is the standard at Eudelo. It is not standard anywhere else.

A Dermatology Grade Facial isn’t a pampering session. It’s the regular, clinical work that keeps skin compounding instead of drifting. A gym membership for your face, without the sweat. A course is how you commit to the result.

What’s New — DeloRx Masks, Compounded for Your Skin

Most facial masks come out of a jar. Ours come out of a bowl, blended from scratch moments before they touch your skin.

Each DeloRx Mask is mixed on the spot from more than 20 ultra-pure active ingredients: five different clays, an innovative azelaic acid derivative, activated charcoal, niacinamide, vitamin C, and botanicals including green tea, moringa and neem. We bring those powders to life with mineral-rich FIJI Water, and nothing else. No preservatives. No fragrance. No colouring. No fillers.

This is, to our knowledge, the first time freshly compounded facial masks have been available in the UK.

Why this matters: what’s right for your skin today is rarely what was right three months ago. With a made-to-order mask, your therapist isn’t reaching for the nearest tube. She builds your mask around what your skin is actually doing on the day, and around the rest of the protocol she’ll be running.

Ten Clinical Technologies, In One 90-Minute Session

Each Next Generation DGF begins with a detailed skin assessment. From there, your Medical Aesthetician assembles a fully bespoke treatment protocol drawn from an extensive range of clinical technologies. No two sessions are alike.

HydraFacialDeep cleanse, hydrate, exfoliate
CryostimulationBoost circulation, calm inflammation
Plasma energy peelAccelerate cell renewal
Deep oscillation lymphatic drainageDe-puff, brighten, detoxify
ElectroporationDrive actives deeper into skin
UltrasoundSoften texture, stimulate collagen
Microneedling + mesotherapyBoost collagen, smooth fine lines
LED light therapyCalm redness, target acne bacteria
Brainwave entrainmentDrop into deep, healing relaxation
Expert manual extractionsClear pores, prevent breakouts

Manual extractions of comedones, and milia where needed, remain the cornerstone of every DGF. Everything else gets layered on according to what the skin in front of the therapist is asking for that day.

Every Course Includes Three Things

Beyond the discounted course itself, every patient who reserves during the launch window receives the same three-part package. These aren’t throwaway extras. Each one is designed to extend the results of your DGFs into your everyday life and your long-term skin plan.

Look Great, Not Done by Dr Stefanie Williams
Worth £8.50

Look Great, Not Done

Dr Stefanie’s book on ageing well.

The clearest, most evidence-based map of how to keep your skin functioning across the decades, written by the Dermatologist who developed the DGF. If you’ve ever wondered which treatments are worth doing in what order, this is the answer. We give a copy to every patient starting a course.

DeloRx Youth Matrix Activator
Worth £165

DeloRx Youth Matrix Activator

The leave-on serum that extends your DGF between sessions.

From our in-house DeloRx skincare range, formulated specifically to support and prolong what the DGF starts in clinic. Peptides, growth-factor mimetics, antioxidants — the kind of regenerative actives most over-the-counter serums never reach. Your Medical Aesthetician selects the right variant for your skin on your first visit.

Skin Health Audit at Eudelo
Complimentary in-clinic assessment

A Skin Health Audit

The most thorough skin assessment we offer, booked in for you before your first facial.

Most patients book a course and turn up cold. We’d rather start with depth. The Skin Health Audit is a full in-clinic assessment with one of our Patient Consultants: Observ multi-spectral imaging to see beneath the surface, biometric probes that measure your skin’s hydration, barrier function and elasticity, and a written treatment plan tailored to what your skin actually needs. We’ll have it on file before your first DGF, so your therapist’s protocol is built around real data, not guesswork.

Tangible value: £173.50, on top of the course saving. Plus the kind of clinical assessment most clinics charge for separately.

Questions, Answered

Is it worth it?

Course of 6 works out at £325 per session. That’s for a 90-minute clinical treatment, delivered by a Medical Aesthetician trained alongside our Dermatologists, using more clinical technology per session than most London clinics offer in their entire facial menu. A standard spa facial at this price point won’t safely treat acne, rosacea or eczema. Ours does. The difference is what your skin looks like in three months.

How is the Next Generation DGF different from the DGFs I’ve had before?

The masks are the biggest change. They’re now compounded fresh for your skin on the day, rather than coming from a tube. We’ve also added several new clinical technologies to the protocol mix, including cryostimulation, deep oscillation lymphatic drainage and brainwave entrainment. Your therapist now has dozens of possible treatment paths to choose from, so no two sessions are alike.

What’s actually in the DeloRx Mask?

Each mask is mixed from more than 20 ultra-pure powdered active ingredients: five clays, an azelaic acid derivative, activated charcoal, niacinamide, vitamin C, and botanicals including green tea, moringa and neem. We blend them with FIJI Water on the day. There are no preservatives, no fragrance, no colouring and no fillers, which is what makes a freshly compounded mask possible in the first place.

How long do I have to use my course?

Your sessions don’t expire on a fixed date, but we recommend roughly monthly intervals for best results. If life gets in the way, stay in touch and we’ll work it out.

What happens after I pay the £95 deposit?

You’ll receive a confirmation email within one working day. Our Patient Consultants will then call you to book your first facial at a time that suits you. The remaining balance is paid on the day of your first session.

What if I need to reschedule or cancel?

Your £95 deposit is fully refundable up to 48 hours before your first appointment. After that, we ask you to keep the deposit on file so your therapist’s time can be honoured, but we’ll always work with you to find a new date.

I have rosacea, adult acne or eczema. Is this still suitable for me?

Yes. Unlike a conventional spa facial, our DGFs are designed to be safe and effective for these conditions. Your therapist will tailor both the mask and the technology protocol to your skin on the day, including which actives go in, what gets left out, and where the protocol needs softening.

Can I gift my course to someone else?

Once a course is in progress, sessions stay with the patient they were assessed for (each one is built around the skin in front of the therapist). But you can absolutely gift the whole course at the point of purchase. Mention it when our Patient Consultants call to book, and we’ll set it up.

Where does the treatment take place?

The Next Generation DGFs are launching at our Bondway clinic in London SW8 only.

Do I need a consultation first?

No. If you already know you’d like a course of facials, you can reserve straight away. Your first session begins with a detailed skin assessment, and your protocol is built from there. If you’d prefer to speak with someone first, our Patient Consultants are always happy to take a free Discovery Call.
