Rosacea
"Rosacea is a highly visible, often distressing condition – expert, dermatologist-led care can calm your skin and protect it from long-term damage."
Rosacea
Rosacea can leave the face looking red and bumpy, feeling uncomfortable and unpredictable, which can affect confidence as much as comfort. Many people describe avoiding photographs and even social events because of rosacea flares. Left unaddressed, rosacea may gradually progress, with more frequent flushing, more intense redness, and inflammatory bumps and pustules, as well as changes in skin texture. With expert dermatological care though, it is possible to soothe, stabilise and gently refine how your skin looks and feels in everyday life.
Treating Rosacea at Eudelo
Rosacea is a chronic inflammatory skin condition, affecting blood vessels and leading to acne-like inflammatory lesions, a feeling of sensitivity and heightened skin reactivity. It can show up differently in different people, as each case is individual. At your medical consultation, a dermatologist will take time to understand your type of rosacea and its disease pattern, triggers, skincare needs, and the impact on your daily life. We carefully examine your skin and take your medical history, so that every step of your treatment plan is based on a clear clinical picture, not guesswork.
Your treatment plan is bespoke and collaborative. It may combine prescription creams and/or tablets, advanced in-clinic treatments such as special rosacea facials and laser treatment, with a tailored homecare routine. The aim is to calm and support the skin, reduce flares and visible rosacea signs, and reduce the risk of future aggravation. Results are designed to look natural, simply a more even, more comfortable complexion that still looks like you. Throughout, we are transparent about options, likely benefits and possible side effects, so you can make informed decisions with a team you trust.

The Rosacea Treatment Journey
Assessment
Managing rosacea is a journey rather than a single treatment. We usually start by stabilising the inflammatory aspect of the condition, then reduce visible redness and vessels, then maintain results. At your first medical visit, your Eudelo dermatologist will assess your skin and medical history in detail. We may also take a digital skin scan and measure your skin’s barrier function to better understand its patterns. Together, we will review your current skincare (this is of utmost importance for managing rosacea, and yet, most dermatologists will not talk about skincare with you!), lifestyle and potential triggers such as heat, sun, alcohol, certain foods or stress.
Phase 1
The first treatment phase focuses on calming inflammation, reducing inflammatory bumps and stabilising the skin barrier. This may include prescription topical medicines such as metronidazole, azelaic acid or ivermectin creams, or oral medication where needed. We will also put together a supporting skincare routine, with effective, yet gentle cleansers, a protecting serum, hydrating, non-comedogenic moisturiser and daily sun protection, as ultraviolet light often worsens rosacea. Your skincare routine is an important part of the overall plan, as skincare can make or break any rosacea treatment. Many rosacea sufferers notice that once their skincare is optimised, flares naturally become less intense and less frequent, even after stopping prescription creams. And the great news is that we can even include effective anti-ageing skincare, if that’s of interest. Discussing this is vital, as the wrong type of anti-ageing care will aggravate your rosacea. This first phase may also include dermatology grade rosacea facials at Eudelo, which not only support skin health, but also improve the appearance of your skin. Beware though - only dermatologist designed facials are truly beneficial - avoid high-street and spa facials, as they can trigger rosacea flares.
Phase 2
Once the skin is more settled, we can consider in-clinic treatments to address persistent redness and visible vessels. Vascular lasers or intense pulsed light (IPL) can target dilated capillaries and background redness, with the aim of softening the overall colour and reducing prominent thread veins. These treatments are carried out by experienced experts using carefully selected settings suitable for your skin tone, vessel type and sensitivity. Sessions are usually spaced several weeks apart and a course is needed for gradual, progressive improvements.
Skin rejuvenation
Because rosacea typically affects women in the middle of their life, in-clinic treatments to rejuvenate the skin may be of interest, too, and we can certainly also help with that - always taking into account which treatments are suitable for your skin at the current time of your rosacea journey. Because imagine having an anti-ageing treatment only for it to flare your rosacea and all the good work. That’s why Eudelo is such a special place - a fusion clinic of medical and aesthetic dermatology, where you are in safe hands, even with complex skin needs like yours. And rest assured - the results will always look natural - Eudelo even offers a 100% natural results guarantee.
Nuances
Rosacea behaves differently in darker skin tones, and redness can be more subtle while the risk of pigment change from devices is higher. For this reason, our experts will adapt treatment choices and settings with great care, and sometimes recommend alternative approaches where light based devices are not ideal. At every stage we review your progress, adjust the plan gently, and only move forward at a pace your skin can tolerate.
Our philosophy is conservative and personalised. We prefer to build improvement steadily, listen closely to your skin’s feedback and respond to how your skin behaves, rather than chase elusive quick fixes that don’t work with your skin’s biology and respect long-term safety.
If you are living with facial flushing, visible redness or rosacea related bumps, you are welcome to arrange a complementary discovery call or consultation, to find out whether Eudelo is a good fit for your skin.
