Some images show the more superficial layers of the skin, while others might focus more on small blood vessels or specific types of cell structures, which can be found within deeper layers of the skin.

We have found that depending on tissue and the visual treatment the graphic artist applies to them, different images tell different stories. One image may emphasize the highly structured arrangement of the outer, protective skin layer, while other images might focus on the complex and seemingly unorganised structures within the deeper skin layers. All images however dramatically highlight the complex interaction and co-existence of cells and matrix in our skin. The skin is our largest organ and crucial for life.
