Skin Ageing – The missing piece of the puzzle

Skin Ageing – The missing piece of the puzzle

Did you know that skin ageing is multidimensional?

This means -unfortunately- that there are a number of reasons why your skin gradually becomes less and less smooth, elastic and vibrant as the years pass. The most well known reason is of course decline of collagen and elastin levels.

However, one very little known cause massively contributing to skin ageing (a cause that is also usually ignored in most clinic’s anti-ageing treatments!) is connected to oxygen – or rather lack of it.

By the age of 40, oxygen supply to your skin will have dropped by up to 50%. This of course takes its toll – causing your skin to look lifeless, and more prone to fine lines and other signs of ageing.

All things that most of us would happily trade. The good news is that there is actually a possibility to improve this. This innovative treatment is called the Carboxy Facial, and it uniquely takes advantage of the body’s natural repair processes. It’s one of the very few methods that can improve your skin’s oxygen supply profoundly – by re-opening dormant blood vessels in your skin that had been shut down during the ageing process.

It does that by infusing medical grade CO2 gas just beneath the skin surface, which the body interprets as an oxygen deficit and responds by increasing blood circulation, but also releasing growth factors such as VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor). VEGF mediated production of new blood vessels will optimize oxygen and nutrient supply to the treated area and, also resulting in improved cell restoration and stimulation of collagen production.

The Carboxy Facial a regenerative treatment that over time improves the overall skin quality, texture and elasticity. Helping you look more radiant and youthful. I am happy to announce that we now have a brand-new Carboxytherapy device here at Eudelo. To find out more, just give our lovely reception team a ring on 020 7118 9500.
