Dr Hiva Fassihi,
Dermatologist
Dr Hiva Fassihi is a fully qualified Specialist Dermatologist, registered with the General Medical Council. She graduated from the University of Cambridge and trained in dermatology at the world renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. This included three years of research on the genetic condition ‘Epidermolysis Bullosa’ as part of the Genetic Skin Disease Group, King’s College London. Dr Hiva’s research led to numerous publications in high impact factor journals and presentations at national and international dermatology and scientific meetings. For her ongoing research and teaching at King’s College London, she was made an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer in 2017. She has also written textbook chapters on dermatology and is a manuscript reviewer for the British Journal of Dermatology, and Clinical and Experimental Dermatology.
Next to her work in Eudelo, she is a consultant dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Being the Lead for the UK’s National XP (Xeroderma Pigmentosum) team, Dr Hiva is an internationally recognised expert in early detection of skin cancers.
In our private clinic, Dr Hiva consults on general dermatology, with specialist interests in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer, eczema, psoriasis, acne, and genetic skin disorders. She also has a special interest in paediatric dermatology and sees babies and children of all ages.
Dr Hiva is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and a member of the British Association of Dermatologists and British Society of Paediatric Dermatology. Hiva has been awarded the Whimster Prize, the Albert M. Kligman Fellowship, the Martin Beare Millenium Paediatric Award, and numerous other awards for her presentations and papers. She lives in London with her husband and two children. Dr Hiva is also fluent in Farsi.
