
Professor Hiva Fassihi,
Dermatologist
Professor Hiva Fassihi is a fully qualified Specialist Dermatologist, registered with the General Medical Council. She graduated from the University of Cambridge and trained in dermatology at the world-renowned St John’s Institute of Dermatology, Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, London. This included three years of research which led to numerous publications in high impact factor journals, and presentations at national and international meetings. For her research and teaching at King’s College London, she was awarded an Honorary Professor in Clinical and Molecular Photodermatology. She has written numerous chapters for seminal dermatology textbooks including the Rook Book and Fitzpatrick’s Dermatology.
Next to her work in Eudelo, she is a consultant dermatologist at St John’s Institute of Dermatology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. She is the Head of the Photodermatology Unit and the National Xeroderma Pigmentosum Service, and is an internationally recognised expert in early detection of skin cancers.
In our private clinic, she consults on general dermatology, with specialist interests in the diagnosis and management of skin cancer, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, and photosensitive disorders. She also has a special interest in paediatric dermatology and sees babies and children of all ages.
Prof Hiva Fassihi is the Chair of the British Photodermatology Group and is involved in driving national guidelines for the management of Photodermatology patients. She is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (FRCP) and a member of the British Association of Dermatologists.
She has achieved an array of awards including Albert M. Kligman Fellowship, Hugh Wallace Registrar’s prize, The Martin Beare Millennium Paediatric Award, the Royal Society of Medicine section prize, Whimster Prize, Guy’s and St Thomas CARE award, and the BMJ Dermatology Team of the Year Award.
She lives in London with her husband and two children.
