Dr Lea Solman, Dermatologist
Dr Lea is a fully qualified Specialist Dermatologist, registered with the General Medical Council UK. She completed her Dermatology training in Leeds and London, and now holds a substantive NHS consultant post at Great Ormond Street Hospital, where she treats the most severe skin paediatric conditions in the UK, in addition to offering private clinics at Eudelo.
Dr Lea is one of the very few consultants in the entire country with a double specialisation, as she is not only a fully qualified Dermatologist, but also a fully qualified Paediatrician. Dr Lea sees adults, children and babies with skin conditions at Eudelo. She consults in general dermatology, while her special interests are birthmarks, eczema, acne and rosacea.
Dr Lea strives to provide the best possible care at all times and approaches each patient in a holistic manner to address any issues related to their skin health and general wellbeing.
Dr Lea has presented nationally and internationally at numerous scientific meetings. She also authored textbook chapters on eczema, acne and urticaria. She is also the first author of national guidelines on treatment of infantile haemangiomas (‘birthmarks’) in children and is a member of the UK Therapy & Guidelines committee of the British Association of Dermatologists.
Dr Lea has previously been awarded a prestigious research fellowship with the UK’s Dermatology Clinical Trials Network and a travel fellowship with the British Society of Paediatric Dermatology. She is a member of the Executive Committee of the British Society for Paediatric Dermatology.
Dr Lea is also fluent in Slovenian and Croatian.
